THE PROPOSAL: SHORT STORY

Image: http://www.gatlinburgspaceneedle.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/marriage-proposal.jpg

I was on my way back to home after attending the morning Holy mass at my parish church. When I reached the Post Office junction, I saw a boy and a girl talking to each other. Boy was extremely nervous standing before her. I decided to watch them for a moment and sat on the bench on the road side. Suddenly the boy stood on his one knee and quickly took out a red rose out of his shirt. All of a sudden the scene that's happening before me brought a smile on my face and it reminded me of a September morning. The day I proposed my girl. That day, that moment, helped me now to be a proud husband of a great wife. I prayed a while for the couple, who is just going to start their love life and continued walking to my home.

One Month In!

Love before Marriage! It's been a great journey for both of us. We shared our stories every day, we prayed together, we were together in happiness and in sorrow, and we dreamed a life together. Yes! We were preparing for the 'Life after marriage'.
Can't forgot the last couple of months. Let us take this opportunity to thank everyone who were there for us. Especially our Parents, Brothers (Akhil Paul & Anil Jose), our relatives (Especially Antony Uncle, Francis Uncle, Fr. Francis, Saju Pepan, Lloyid, Sheri Cheattan.... (oopz! the list goes on and on), and friends (Special mention to Varun Paul, Thomson Varghese, Edison Varghese, Jomon Moonjely, Midhun, Dikil, Prajeesh, Ajith, & Joe). Thank You all for your efforts!
Completed our first month as husband and wife. We're slowly coming back to business. Both of us joined back our work.

But it doesn’t feel different.

Which is fine, because our relationship was awesome. It hasn’t changed at all. Every once in a while there’s the little thrill of thinking of her as “wife” but even that is not as exciting as I expected it to be. The fact is, we have felt committed to each other for life. We both knew. Just completely knew that this was it.
But it still doesn’t quite feel real to us. We said vows. We went through two ceremonies. But I think it will take a lot of calling each other “husband” and “wife” for it is too hard for me to hide that little smile. So far it's been a wonderful breeze and we hope it will stick around for the life ahead. Thanks Again!

Until death do us part

"Thank you my honey bunch for everything that you have poured on me. Especially for your unconditional love and care, for trusting me, for helping me take good decisions, for being my shore during the tough times, and the list goes on... Don't know what to scribble down honey...
I do promise to be true. I would like to be with you to have and to hold, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. I LOVE YOU!"

SHE, AS I SEE....

Her smile is worth a thousand ghazals,
Her eyes are worth a thousand shining stars,
Nectar flows from her lips,
And her hair, like Niagara falls.

Her beauty pierces through my heart,
And her charisma halts my wandering eyes;
I want to hold her hands till my last breath,
And die chanting her name.
Thanks to my lil sister SK

BRIGHT STAR

Stars are shining,
Stars are smiling,
Showing me the bright side of life,
You...

How can I keep you apart,
When you're close to my heart.
How can we be like two worlds apart,
When a world is built for us.

You were my world,
You were my dreams,
And still is.
Yes! You rule my heart.

Sincere thanks to my friend: Shilpa Krishnan

UNREQUITABLE LOVE: TO MY VALENTINE

This is a feeling that I feel should not be felt
Expressing it is something that I must do
But your same feelings never will be dealt
How could you ever think that this be just?

At times it hurts so much I can not think
About you or I can't stop wondering
How great it would feel if you had turned pink
When I told you that you made my heart sing

I wish I could accept the simple fact
That "you and me" is only in my head
You've told me that you'll never love me back
These feelings must subside or I'll be dead

I fear I might not realize in time
That your heart will not beat in sync with mine.

LOVE STORY

‘Hey, Oliver, did I tell you that I love you?’
‘No, Jen.’
‘Why didn’t you ask me?’
‘I was afraid to, frankly.’
‘Ask me now.’
‘Do you love me, Jenny?’
She looked at me and wasn’t being evasive when she answered:
‘What do you think?’
‘Yeah. I guess. Maybe.’
I kissed her neck.
‘Oliver?’
‘Yes?’
‘I don’t just love you…’
Oh, Christ, what was this?
‘I love you very much, Oliver.’
I know you don’t need an introduction about Erich Segal… He contributes beautifully written and profoundly moving fiction to the world of literature... His work Love Story has no exemption… It’s a romantic story like the title suggests, love between Oliver Barret IV and Jenny Cavilleri. Oliver is from a rich family on his way to a Harvard degree and a career in Law. Jen is a wisecracking working class lass studying music at Radcliffe.

Oliver and Jenny immediately got attracted to each other even though they are opposites in nearly every way. They started sharing love that defies everything… But it will find its end soon. It is a Love that will linger in everyone’s heart, now and forever.

I can’t suggest a better read for this Valentine’s Day.

Books and Bookmen defined it well… ‘Simplicity… charm… compassion and a delicate sense of comedy. It illustrates a point: “Love means not ever having to say you’re sorry. “ That is well said.’
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

MONEY VERSUS LOVE

If you have more than enough Gandhi heads, but the one you love isn’t yours, can you say that your life is beautiful???
NO will be the answer, at least for me. There are certain things that you love to have but will be far away from you… Religion, career, age, family, class, color… etc comes in between you and them… you can buy anything with money, but the one you love might not lend her soul to you…
You may miss someone passed away or you might miss someone went far away from you. What if you miss someone you talk frequently and see at a regular manner??? It’s an excruciating thing… hope you people don’t have to suffer like I do… god bless!

IGNORED!

"Birds forgot to sing in the daybreak…
Sky seems dark…
Stars failed to take its brightness…
Moon lost its gorgeousness…
And the psyche tries to find comfort inside the four walls of the room…"

Life is like playing chess with God. Your moves are called CHOICES & His moves are called CHALLENGES. I miss the taste of life… at least the happy part of it… The worse thing than being hated is being ignored. When I miss someone, what I can do now is just look at the sky. Although I might not see the person there, but feel happy that both of us are under the same sky.

“It’s hard to forget you when every day these memories of us keep rushing back.”

Addendum: Hope the coin has two faces….

MISS YOU DARLZ!

“…….I give you my hand!

I give you my love more precious than money,

I give you myself before preaching or law;

Will you give me yourself? Will you come

travel with me?

Shall we stick by each other as long as we

live?”

I had someone so cute… who cared me a lot… loved me a lot… and I was happy with that cute buddy… But now, when I need her so desperately… I cannot find her nearby… She is gone… out of ma life…

I am writing this at midnight… not because I just had a dream about her… instead, thoughts about her are just taking life of my dreams and made me insomniac… It’s the moments we spend together… those moments are the real culprit, I think… who makes my life hard these days and nights… I simply miss her… missing her voice, a gentle touch of her and everything I had…

Yah! Whom I to blame those moments??? If I miss her now it’s simply because I was a kind of ‘sonovabitch’ those last days…or I really don’t deserve a place in her life… or I was too odd to stay close to her…. O’ Lord let her be happy wherever she is… I miss you darlz!

THE FOX ???

Finally my land is wet by monsoon… it’s the time to find a blanket and visit the world of dreams… I hate going out when it is raining… so I offer my prayers at the altar of the rain goddess… It is to pour rain only in the night. It will help me find some sound sleep… sleep is the real medicine to all our worries…
Some days I feel lonely and some days crowded… but these days I feel mixed emotions… it’s true that am an introvert these days… that’s bcoz, these days I wanna live in the world of fiction… at the same time I do make contacts with ma lovely friends… also would love to make frequent contacts with the one, who I want to keep much longer (I am ready to wait, May 2010).

When one loves something from bottom of the heart… there is high chance for ending up as ‘The Fox’… “The Fox who cannot reach the grapes…” will I be the Fox?

I AM READY TO WAIT…

Relationships carry a lot of scores in this risky exam called life. You need someone for providing you a packet of solace, at the time you are in need. It can be from your parents, bros, sis, relatives and friends. Life will surely help at different times to meet the one who could be your comfort.
The real question is how you will know someone is going to be the one you are looking for... I have a bunch of special ones, both from family as well as from the outside world. But now there is something new happening. These days, there is someone unique, who I want to keep much longer. Even a short chat with that one will make me a different, confident, persona. Inspiration and support that I need can be felt even from the simple presence of that person. That’s why I want to keep that person much longer. No idea what it really means, how it will turn out in the future… will I miss those hands or hold it forever??? Let’s wait; time can help you in answering most of the questions…

SHAKING!!!

Reminiscence of a hand shake I got on last Christmas night is still making waves in ma heart. We do shake hands when we meet someone. But the hand shake I talk about is not the usual one. It is different, different enough to make long lasting effect in ma mind. Why it is long lasting? Am I out of LOC now? Is it going towards another 397…? No idea about the future. What I know is, it was something lovable for me.

AM ADDICTED TO LOVE!!!

Wish all of you a splendid and safe diwali... and good wishes for the whole year....
Here in my locality Diwali is not being celebrated to its full spirit. Last night when I just made a round of driving with my bike, I saw people decorating house with lamps very rarely. I missed fireworks too. Here its onam people celebrate… I started celebrating diwali only three years ago… thanks to my relative… its him who made everthing possible those days.. I enjoyed a lot but now his absence makes my diwali boring… I enjoy times when I get an opportunity to celebrate… life is beautiful… celebrate it & live it…
Last night my bro went for training… I will miss him for next SIX months… already feeling a bit… It’s for the first time we are parting for this much lengthy period of time… for the first I will miss him for Christmas… yup, I have to accept the fact… it’s a part of life…
It’s after a long time am writing for ma blog… September saw me working hard… It also gave me lot learning as wells experience… enjoyed being the student coordinator of state level gathering of social work students and faculty. Soon 15 days of all India tour… covered five important places of ma motherland… circular journey helped me to cover almost all the states of the largest democracy in the world… It gave me opportunity to walk inside the great indian parliament, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Red Fort, Jalianwala Bagh, Golden Temple, Juma masjid-New Delhi, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Kerala House…etc… also can’t forget ma first taste of Metro rail & suburban Train, children of same mother with completely different characters… Also remembering all those lovely ladies, who walked in front of me… It’s hard to detail everything that I saw or in other words, experienced throughout my journey… I saw the facilities for our parliament members as well as children of Mother India begging for their meals… Last but not least I enjoyed my moments at Waga Border… It was amazing… enjoyed the evening ceremony there… saw the national flag of two countries, who always yell at each other for the lives of many innocent men and do nothing to stop more bloodshed, coming downwards at the same time… All those stuff makes the trip, the memorable one… O` no I can’t forget the support and love that I got from my classmates as well as my teachers who was with me during the ‘journey that I can’t forget’.
Now its exam time for me, yes the theory part… Internals are already over, so now am cooking ma brain for the Giant… pls pray for me… and about the title… yes am addicted, Addicted to Love…
